Building Information Model (BIM):
Is the DIGITAL REPRESENTATION of physical and functional characteristics of a facility. As such it serves as a shared knowledge resource for information about a facility, forming a reliable basis for decisions during its life cycle from inception onwards.

SCAN to BIM
Once a high resolution 3D Laser Scanning survey of your building has been completed, it can be represented as a Building Information Model (BIM) ready model. A Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility. This digital model not only contains precise dimensional information, but can serve as a centralized repository of relevant building data for better coordination amongst project teams, improved visualization, facilities management, and can help identify potential design issues prior to a renovation or retrofit project.
Having your as-builts in BIM gives you the flexibility to easily update any changes on site over the course of the buildings construction or operation and for other mission critical functions that span the entire lifecycle of the building such as:
-
virtual construction and clash detection
-
facilities management
-
preventive maintenance scheduling
-
inventory management
-
space planning
-
safety & security training
-
evacuation simulation
