Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a digital representation or virtual information model of the building process. It serves to facilitate exchange and interoperability of information among the Design team, Contractors, and Owners/Operators.
BIM covers geometry, spatial relationships, geographic information, quantities and properties of building components. Through detailed computer visualization of each part in relation to the total building, errors arising from design conflicts or clashes are automatically detected.
